There are energetic cords that form in all relationships. Especially strong cords form with long term relationships, such as father, mother, husband wife,children...etc. These energy cords connect between parent and child in all the chakras, ie heart to heart, 2nd chakra to 2nd chakra and so on. Cord connections are on the fourth level of the Auric field and higher and since the 4th level of the field exists before and beyond the three-dimensional physical realm, many of our energy cords are formed before physical life begins. Thus the importance of generational healing but that's another subject for a different blog!
When I first started working with my client's cords I did not know much about them and had heard somewhere that the best way to disengage from someone who you no longer wished to be connected to was to cut the energy cords. Something like cutting off the energy. In my experience this rarely resolves or heals the issue and may potentially cause harm to the chakra that the cords emanate from. When one wishes to end a relationship amicably in a loving and kind way it is best to clear the cords and use other healing methods, such as disentangling cords that might be embedded deep inside the chakra or clearing cords that are from some type of invasion. Many many people have damage to their third chakra cords and I am often guided to do work that roots their cords down into their core star essence, after I have first cleared the cords. That allows their essence to upwell all the way to the edge of their auric field. Many unhealthy relationships can be released and even dependency relationships can be healed and healthy boundaries established. This takes more than just an energy healer giving a session to clear ones cords. There is a habitual pattern there. That is why the Brennan Healing Science method is different than many other modalities. Once you bring in the client's' conscious awareness and teach them the skills necessary, it adds a deeper dimension to the energy healing session and the healing becomes permanent because the pattern is addressed over and over again by the client. Once the client becomes aware of how their cords may have been damaged, entangled, invaded or even embedded they then learn how to keep their field clear and allow their essence to shine out 360 degrees all around them, This will also keep unwanted energy from entering the field. When the field is full of light nothing can penetrate unless it is allow to. That is one major reason to connect often to your Source and to ground to the earth... for the support of both the earth and the Divine.
